Pontins woman with fibromyalgia hits out at 'inappropriate' apartment after holiday from hell

Family claimed accommodation had mouldy walls, exposed wires and water on floor, while elderly guests were expected to sleep in children's bunk beds

A family expecting a "nice weekend away" at a holiday camp walked out after a single night because of the "filthy" state of their accommodation.

Teresa Barbato, 21, went to Pontin's Brean Sands in Somerset on Friday, February 28, for a three-night stay along with her partner, mother, grandmother and grandmother's partner. They had paid £130 for two apartments.

It all looked so promising before the family left for the well-earned break.

Pontin's even offered the family a free upgrade to a higher standard of accommodation, called a Club Apartment, before they left their south Wales home, which they accepted. But the bargain break soon turned into a holiday nightmare.

When they checked into their room at the holiday centre, they were shocked what they found.
