Plymouth woman sets up dating group for disabled people

Laura Peters suffers from Fibromyalgia and nerve damage

A Plymouth woman who has been single for eight years and suffered cruel jibes over her disability has set up a dating group.

Laura Peters from Devonport wanted to create a space for those who have a disability to support each other and potentially meet the love of their life.

The 44-year-old said she knows what it's like to "feel lonely" and has set up Plymouth Single and Disabled on Facebook so anyone feeling isolated can reach out.

Laura, who suffers from fibromyalgia and nerve damage to her legs which leaves her "in pain every day", said she is often reluctant to leave the house due to abuse.
