UK Man Grew Cannabis To Help Cope With Pain Of Long-Term Medical ConditionTuesday 7 August 2018
From UK newspaper the Nottingham Post:
Man grew cannabis to help cope with pain of long-term medical condition Adrian Salt suffers from fibromyalgia A 47-year-old man grew cannabis plants to ease his pain - but ended up with a criminal record and orders to do 100 hours community work. Adrian Salt suffers from fibromyalgia, which leaves him in such agony that he was running out of standard medication, a court heard. Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition that causes muscle pain, headaches, and fatigue. So he took the "stupid" decision to grow cannabis in the attic of his home on Bedford Court, Stapleford. But his crop never came because it was lost in a fire on New Year's Eve. Simon Eckersley, mitigating, said Salt had served in the armed services and had never been in trouble before. He produced a doctor's letter which outlined the medical problems.
