Couple to be booted out Hobbit-style mud home they built to help combat allergies
Kate Burrows says she suffers from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and the house built of earth, tree trunks and straw helps stop her symptoms coming back.
A couple have been told they must leave their Hobbit-style mud hut built to combat an allergy to modern life by tomorrow [Saturday 16 December].
Kate Burrows, 46, and her husband Alan, 48, will have to move into a Travelodge after North Devon Council issued the enforcement notice to remove the home as it does not have planning permission.
The couple fashioned their unique home out of the earth, tree trunks and straw after Kate was forced out of her rented house by permanent flu-like symptoms.
