Young woman trapped at home in constant pain stripped of benefits in time for Christmas Faye Dempsey has fibromyalgia which some doctors call "bulls**t disease" A young woman in such constant agony she said she could barely leave her home has been stripped of her benefits. Faye Dempsey, a former Stars in Their Eyes winner, said a condition called fibromyalgia made her feel like she had been “beaten from head to toe”. But the 35-year-old from West Kirby told the ECHO she broke down after her disability benefit suddenly stopped without warning this week.
