Hair Dresser Opens Scent-Free SalonSaturday 21 October 2017
From Canadian news outlet the Daily Herald-Tribune:
Hair dresser opens scent-free salon A hairdresser has opened her own backyard hair salon free of fragrances and potentially irritating chemicals. Bonnie Frostad worked more than a dozen years as a hairdresser, but the chemicals from all the hairsprays, shampoos, body sprays, perms and colouring used in salons eventually made her sick. Her new business, Bonnie Sue’s Cut and Barber Shop, has a scent-free policy and she sells fragrance-free hypoallergenic shampoos. She set up the salon at her property on 9926-83 Ave, just west of the Patterson Village shopping area. Frostad said she’s heard from a lot of other people who also have fragrance sensitivities or respiratory issues. What’s more, she added, some people who are bothered by beauty products don’t recognize that those products are the cause.
