Public health rallyJuly 29, 2005 Saturday September 17 is National Chemical Injury and Sensitivity Day. A public health protest rally recognising Multiple Chemical Sensitivity will be held at midday outside the office of the South Australian Department of Health at 11 Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide. The rally calls on the State Government to rapidly implement the recommendations of the Parliamentary Inquiry into MCS, which found that “MCS is very real” and that “up to 6% of the population may have MCS.” The Minister for Health is called on to ensure MCS protocols and fragrance controls in hospitals and public health services and an end to the routine use of herbicides in residential areas.
