Forum reportJuly 14, 2005 A report will be presented on Saturday July 30 detailing the proceedings of the Adelaide Forum for researchers and clinicians from around the nation, who met for two days in June with Professor Kenny De Meirleir of Belgium. Their goal was “to review current barriers to clinical care and strategic research development funding” for ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This was one of the most important gatherings ever in Australia on the topic. As one of the medical professionals commented, the message for doctors and patients dealing with ME/CFS is that we are at a very hopeful period, the “light just before the dawn” of new tests and treatments.
