The Alexander Technique

Wednesday 14 January 2009

The Alexander TechniqueSomething that we haven’t mentioned before on this website is the Alexander Technique. It’s a gentle form of exercise that can help alleviate muscular pain.

Here’s an article that describes the Alexander Technique, its history, and how it can be useful for people with musculoskeletal problems (people with Fibromyalgia are prime candidates here):

livemint.com: The Alexander Technique

The article also includes a video of the Alexander Technique in action.

Please note: as with any new procedure, it’s always wise to check with your health care professional before you embark on a course if you wish to trial the Alexander Technique.
